"BEAUTIFUL PAIN is a solo project by me - Jörg Graeter.
Will it remain a solo project? WHO KNOWS!

The name stands for: „Beautiful catchy melodies that get stuck in your head, paired with (mostly) painful lyrics."Musically, BEAUTIFUL PAIN moves more in the dark corner and combines dark melancholic rock with metal. Sometimes fast, sometimes carried, sometimes dirty and weird, but always very melodic.

Comparisons with other bands? Paradise Lost meets Ozzy Osbourne is probably the closest.

All the songs were written a long time ago from the gut. Even though the recordings were made several years ago, the album is absolutely in tune with the current zeitgeist.

 Since I wrote all the songs myself and played every instrument including 2 guitars myself, the whole process from writing the first song to mastering the last song took over 1 year.

Since I have been asked about the project many times (and why it can't be bought or streamed anywhere), I have now decided to release the songs in 2021. The songs are just too good to hide them. And who knows, maybe a complete band will come out of it after all.

I come from the very beautiful and most south-western part of Germany (the district of Lörrach) and live right on the Swiss border with Basel.

I have been a hard rock and metal fan since I was 12.
I have been playing in various rock, hard rock and metal bands since I was 15. With my former band "AVANISH" I fulfilled my childhood dream by sharing the stage with Nightwish, Savatage, Die Happy, Gamma Ray, Roger Chapman, Lacuna Coil and other big acts.

Even though our first album "Gods of Destiny" was highly praised by the press, we parted ways due to some low blows, internal differences and problems with our record companies.

At the moment I am active as a singer/songwriter and guitarist with my band Slavecircus.
